Red eared sliders

Postby dennysfishroom » Tue Oct 17, 2017 6:40 pm

I've got about 6 red eared from 2015 and 2016 hatches that I need to sell. I won't have room once I move, so make me an offer. They are approaching 4 inches, and all are heterozygous for albino. Breed them together, and you should get 25% albino. You can check out on line what newly hatched albinos are selling for. 479-359-0088

How much room would adults take to over winter?

I don't know if there is any hard and fast rule, but the flatter the tank or tub the better. I'm guessing they would need 20-30 gallons per turtle. You are talking about inside? I did have one accidentally overwinter outside in a 100 gallon stock tank. I don't know that I would intentionally do that however. Denny

I had picked out 5 red eared sliders last year that I thought were females to keep as back up breeders. As I was looking at them this spring, I found one that is now displaying male characteristics. Since I don't have room to separate him, I'm offering him for sale for $10. He does carry the albino gene and he's 3 years old. If you buy him and decide you also want what I think is a female, I can sell one of those that also carries the albino gene for $10. Denny
