Julidiochromis regani

As well as the Victorians at FOTAS, I also got 5 J. regani. I just noticed yesterday that one of them is defending a flower pot in their tank. I'm hoping it's a maternal action, and that I'll end up with fry pretty soon. That would be cool. Denny

She's (?) been peeking out of the pot for almost a week now. Denny

I had suspected that I might have a pair of J. regani from their activity around a flower pot, but I had never seen any fry until today. I noticed one fry today, which is hardly worth messing with, but it does support my theory that I do have at least one pair among the 4 adults in the tank. I may have to start paying closer attention to what's going on in that tank in the future. I've always had a difficult time sexing the Julidochromis (?) in the past. Denny

Same story with my Telmatochromis brichardi. One fry isn't much but proves something is happening!
