Fall Approaching

Post by dennysfishroom »

With the approach of Fall, I've started bringing indoors some of the livebearers I've had out in my ponds. Everyone who has tried it knows how difficult it can be to catch all those fish in a pond. Think about how much harder it is when you've only got the use of one eye with no depth perception. I have been using a minnow trap to help, but the holes are too big for the smaller fish, and most of what I've caught has been with a net. Could be some nice looking fish for our auction though. I've also found that I've got some smaller goldfish in there, so it appears they are breeding as well. Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!

Busy time for us pond guys. Trying to save and house the fish from the ponds and get them in healthy is a challenge. I have emptied 4 of the 5 ponds I need to and I need to get the last one done tomorrow. Suppose to get too chilly this week for safe keeping of tropicals outside. I can only imagine trying to do this all with one eye. Hope you are healing well.
