Problem Solved

Post by dennysfishroom »

I was having a problem with the water supply to my sumps for the last several weeks. I finally got around to buying the tubing to replace the old tubing today. I decided to start at the valve supplying the water, and surprisingly found that was the problem. I unhooked the tubing from the valve, but the valve was leaking. I then found that I needed to to replace the washer and a fitting, but couldn't get them off the old tubing, all the while getting sprayed by the valve that wouldn't shut off completely. I was thinking "great - I have to drive into town to get the parts". Then I thought maybe I should take a look in my hardware parts cabinets first. Low and behold, I had the parts and even found them quickly. The water is now flowing, and I now I'll have to clean out the water overflow on my systems. If it's not one thing, it's another. Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!
