HELP WANTED! Species Maintenance Program Chairperson

The Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society (NWAAS) is looking for a volunteer to reactivate and lead the Species Maintenance Program. The program has fallen into disuse, due to lack of someone to chair the project.

The project chair would:
  1. Help implement rules for the program
  2. Track breeding results of SMP participants
  3. Coordinate those results with the BAP (Breeder Award Program) chair, so that breeders also get their BAP points, certificates, and trophies
  4. Assist participants in locating appropriate species to breed, when necessary
  5. Assist participants in distributing offspring to other SMP participants, when necessary
The person who accepts this position would become the SMP Chairperson, and would become a member of the NWAAS Board of Directors. So they would not only have a say in how the SMP is implemented, but a stronger voice in the guidance of the club itself. And you'll make some fish-minded friends. If you would like to apply for the position of SMP Chairperson, please send us a note at:
