Daphnia magna

Well, we have daphnia. I was putting some of my goldfish outside in the tubs today, and I looked in the wading pool and saw a lot more daphnia than I put in there. Success at last at least for awhile. I also saw some black worms I had put in there earlier. It will be interesting to see if they grow in the wading pool. I'm also going to put one of my marble crayfish in to see if they'll do anything out there. I'll have to hope they don't eat the black worms. Denny

The crayfish will definitely eat the blackworms.

I have playsand in my tanks and it seems the blackworms that don't get eaten, burrow into the gravel with heads(?) out until the corys come across them.

It's actually the tails of the blackworms that stick out, for breathing... until the Corydoras catfish find them.
