There is a minnow in some of the shots fro comparison. Got the minnows for my ponds and noticed a few of these as I was pouring them out.. Which I had seen them sooner.

Brook sticklebacks! Cool! I used to catch them as a kid in Ohio. For some reason, they are illegal here in Arkansas. From the Arkansas Game and Fish Code Book:
32.13 CERTAIN EXOTIC SPECIES PROHIBITED. It shall be unlawful to import,
08-04 transport, or possess in this state any species commonly known as
snakehead (Family Channidae), walking catfish, stickleback, Mexican banded
tetra, piranha or rusty crayfish (Orconected rusticus). These species may
be possessed for display and educational purposes by written permit
approved by the Chief of Fisheries.
PENALTY: $250.00 to $1,000.00.
I sure would like to keep some, though. I'm tempted to apply for a permit.

Did you get them from a bait dealer there in Missouri?

From a fish farm actually. In with their minnows. I need to go back and get another bag of minnows and hope they grab a bunch more of the sticklebacks like they did this time. It just happened I dumped a bunch on the ground by accident and noticed these, had many more I am sure that i dumped into the pond darn the luck.
