In my experience the only Striped Raphael is a Catfish.

Am I correct that this is a catfish or is there a pleco I am not familiar with?

Like you, I'm only familiar with the striped Raphael catfish. But many of the "L-number" plecos have lately been turning up with common names that aren't yet widely circulated. So it's possible there's a pleco out there that shares the name.

thats something i would like to explore i have both striped and spotted an im getting the jitters thinking of a raphael pleco
