Dean Hougen is the Oklahoma City President of the
Oklahoma Aquarium Association (OKAA) and a member of the board of
trustees for the American Cichlid Association (ACA). He has been
active in the aquarium hobby for more than a quarter century and has
been a longtime member of aquarium societies including OKAA, ACA, and
the Minnesota Aquarium Society. For many years he has been fascinated
by the cichlids of South America. Dean founded the South American
Cichlid Study Group in 1993 and was the first editor of its journal
"ACARA." He has written numerous articles for this and other hobby
publications. Dean's articles have been reprinted by clubs from
Canada to Australia, and translated into languages including French,
Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Korean, and Turkish. He has spoken at
club events across the United States from Minnesota to Texas, and
California to Connecticut.

Speaker Dinner: What kind of hosts would we be if we didn't feed our guest speaker? We will be heading to the usual spot, the Hibachi Grill Supreme Buffet, to grab a bite. Everyone is welcome to join us and we hope that you will! (You will be responsible for your own meal check, which is around $10 for buffet plus drink.) The restaurant is a new and very large Chinese/American buffet (largest in the area). There is also a Mongolian-style grill where you can pick your raw ingredients for cooking. They even have some good sushi!

The restaurant address is listed below, but for those familiar with the area, the restaurant is located right in front of Walmart #1 on Walnut St. (Rt. 12) in Rogers-- in the former Ryan's Steakhouse building. Meet at the restaurant at 5:15 PM

We will probably all be there but we have a long drive so I'm not sure we will be back in time.
