Shop that WAS Cichlids and Salt

I was in Springfield today and decided to drop by and see how the shop was doing under new management.
I noticed that they changed the name. It is in the same location though and has a fish on the sign, so I was able to find it

 .
They are primarily a saltwater store now. Yes, they still have freshwater tanks, but they sure aren't worth a drive to Springfield, or crossing the road, to see.
The saltwater selection looked quite nice. They also had some used equipment around at very reasonable prices.

Sad huh? And that WAS the only good LFS we had here. They still have some cichlids but not a huge variety. Mostly what the former owner raises himself. Very common ones like Rusty, Fronts, Oscars, etc....

It's called the Aquarium Shoppe now. Same location. And Jon is still there but I guess the new owner is more interested in the salt side.

Well I know he doesn't have that as his website. I've had it for a couple years. Denny

No website at all. If I'm not wrong I called Underwater Worlds to inquire about fish and he told me to call his store, Aquarium Shoppe. So it seems he owns both. The website is Underwater Worlds. Owner is a guy named Harold.

So, I went and looked at that guys website. He is either uneducated or only interested in selling saltwater. I am guessing a little of both given my experience at his shop.
He states:
Freshwater: Easy to Maintain and Diversity of Life Limited
These are definitely words coming from someone unversed in the true nature of freshwater aquariums.
Though, given what he has for sale in the shop...they are true. He doesn't have anything challenging to keep or diverse.
Kevin
ps. Ok, I will go take my pill now so I can be friendly again.
