Casting Nets

Academy Sports has casting nets in their latest flyer, 3.5- to 6-feet in diameter. Are these something worth picking up for collecting?

It's hard to learn to throw them, but once you get the hang of it they are pretty effective. Trent has learned to use the one we have.

They aren't really worth it for collecting aquarium fish. Fish smaller than about 4 inches go through the smallest legal mesh size. Fish in the medium range can be torn up pretty badly. Still good for bait but not for keeping.
