Taking a picture of your fish or aquarium is just half the process. In the old days, pictures could then be improved or modified using film development and darkroom techniques. Now, digital photography, along with proper photo-editing software, makes the process of correcting and improving your photos so much easier. Anyone can make their pictures better!

In this month's program, aquarium book author and semi-pro photographer Mike Wickham will show you how to use Adobe Photoshop® or similar photo-editing software to make good photos great and bad photos better. It is sometimes amazing what can be done! You'll learn the standard steps that can improve nearly every photo—and not just your aquarium shots. You'll learn how to fix your photos by removing distracting elements, such as heater tubes and scratches in the glass. You will learn about the most popular and useful tools present in your image editor—tools that work miracles and make your life easier.

This program will be a live demo using Adobe Photoshop projected to large screen from a laptop computer. You will see the steps in action and witness the changes as they are made to sample photos. Mike will be also be using some sample photos submitted by forum members for possible correction. If you would like to submit a photo for Mike to use in the demo, Click HERE to upload your photos to a special gallery. You can submit photos that you know need some fixing or photos that you think are good, just to see if they can be made better!

So unhappy I cannot come. We are going to be out of town and this is one topic I want and need to hear about. Enjoy it and take good notes!

Wished I could make it too.

Learned a lot today;

My wife took my camera and got some good shots.

Guess that means I suck as a photographer.

Have a great meeting if this is tonight. I am about to head to the HAAS picnic but I am still wishing I could make the meeting there. We are off to S.C, for a few days and so cannot do it all.

Sorry I missed this! Busy day yesterday and I hadn't looked at the clock until 7:20. Did everyone learn a lot?

Dang it, Mike! Maybe you can give the talk again soon and I'll be able to come. I would have rather listened to your talk one thousand times in a row than spent my evening the way I did. ;)
