I'm contemplating drilling two of the extra tanks I have to build a propagation tank and reservoir for my plants. I've found several bits avalible online for drilling glass but i was curious to see if anyone here had any advice about drilling tanks, or what bits to look at.

Corey and I have both drilled tanks. You have to go slow, and keep the bit covered with water. Then just make sure your diamond bit it the right size for your bulkhead fitting (slightly bigger). Denny

I use to have one that was a cylinder that fit into a drill. You made a clay ring over the glass to hold water and you pour carbonate granuals in and it grinds out a circle of glass.I think I got it from Aquarium Products, just cant remember for sure.
