Humidity Control

Post by Jackielee »

Not sure how many of you keep or maintain a dozen or more decent sized tanks in a fish room setting but Mike Hellweg from St. Louis uses a bathroom exhaust fan to help control the humidity in his fish room so if it is good enough fro him it is good enough for me. I bought a larger fan and installed in my basement wall yesterday. Very pleased so far with the results. Humidity is down and the air feels better down there. It probably ran for 18 hours to catch up with the humid day and me having the garage door open most of the afternoon but is shut off after a period time and so did the dehumidifier. I will use both but I think the addition of the exhaust fan may prove very advantageous. Just uses an exhaust fan and a humidistat to control it. I have a huge space and 50 tanks of various sizes many over 100 gallons. I can use the help. Jack
