Christmas Party 2012
at Worlds Under Water

Saturday, December 8, 2012
6:30 PM - ?
There's something fishy going on at the December meeting. It's the NWAAS Christmas party, hosted by Worlds Under Water in Fayetteville. The meeting will not be at our usual place!

Food: Don't bother eating before the meeting. We'll have plenty of pizza and beverages on hand. It is a party, after all.

Fish: Nothing goes with a hot party like cool fish. There will be no formal program for this meeting, but Worlds Under Water has plenty of fish and they are offering us a 20% discount on any live item. That includes fish, invertebrates, and plants—both freshwater and saltwater.

People: There will be plenty of time to socialize. Chat with other members about fish, family, or whatever. It's a great chance to make friends and learn about our many new members.

Location:
Worlds Under Water
2105 Creekview Suite B
Fayetteville, AR 72704
(479) 521-7258

Is this the place that is kind of off the beaten path and in like a former 7 Eleven building? I think I went there once and accidentally met up with Michael??? If the dry weather holds we may try to make the journey. Kind of weather dependent since we live up here in KC and i do not like winter weather driving. Sounds like fun even if you do not get to see me there! Jack

Jack, it would be great if you could make it down. Yes, Worlds Under Water is a bit off the beaten path, in that it sits back behind the stores one the main drag, and the building does look a bit like a 7-11 building. There is a sign on the main intersection that says something like "Aquarium and Pond Store" that points to them.

Seems like I answered this somewhere before, but I can't find the note. My favorite soft drink is Caffeine-free Diet Coke. As long as there is something caffeine-free, I'm cool.

Some iced Christmas cookies might be a nice snack.

I like almost anything non-diet except Root Beer. Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Sprite, 7 up, etc. Also, almost any strawberry, orange, or grape flavored soda, even the off brands.

Are we supposed to be bringing anything? I remember last year, the meat was provided but people all brought stuff; I brought cheese dip and chips. I know we are having pizza, but I haven't seen a list of things that people need to bring like last year. If anything is needed, let me know.

Thanks we will probably drive so Laura does not feel trapped at a fish activity!

Are you doing a head count to see who is going to be at the P.A.R.T.Y.?

If you are mark us down as 2 participants!

We usually drink water and eat cheese pizza but are flexible to whatever is planned and will be there.

Anyone need anything from KC?

See you soon and THANKS!

Thank you leaders and w.u.w. for a fun night. Of course I bought fish but saw some cool fish I had never seen before and so I had to get some. I appreciate the chance to participate and enjoyed the fellowship. Jack

I thought this was the best Christmas party we've had. Thank you Brandon, and everyone who came (about 26 of you). Denny

Sorry I missed the party, but with a whole house of sick folks, I was afraid I might spread this flu that's running through the house. Sounds like I missed a good time, anyone take pictures?

John

I don't think anyone took pictures. I took my camera along, but it was so crowded and busy that I never even got it out of the car.
