Clogged Water System

For the last several months I've been fighting with several of the tank supply valves in my system. I wasn't sure what to do to fix it, so kept delaying. Finally today I decided to tackle the problem. I ended up using my fine adjustment tool (a really long screw driver), and just gave it a whack. All of a sudden I had more water coming out that the tank could handle. I ended up fixing around 5-6 tanks. I'm thinking maybe I should do that with all of my tanks as a preventive maintenance task.
