Traveling Containers

Post by dennysfishroom »

In the past I've tried to travel with fish using the plastic storage boxes. This would be for those times when I wanted to show my fish, so I didn't take them in styrofoam containers. It worked, but the water could slosh out of the container with sudden turns. I even tried it using silicone rubber as a gasket. Still water could spill from the container. Today I was going through Lowes and noticed a new type of container. Ziplock is making a new (at least for me) plastic container label as weather tight. I brought one home and tried it tonight. They are not water tight referring to being able to turn the container upside down with no leakage, but they did appear to keep the water in the container as it was shaken. These would be very handy for taking to a swap meet where you want to be able to display your fish without setting up an aquarium or two. Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!
