Trying Plants Again

Those of you who know me well realize that I do an awful job of growing plants. One of the other speakers at the Eastern Iowa Seminar was speaking on low tech methods of growing plants, and he got me excited enough to try them again. I got some Crypts to try, and I had picked up a bag of Vallsenieria in April at the EIAS auction. I didn't know what I was going to do with the Val when I got it home, so I just threw it in a tub with a light. I decided to try the Val as well as the Crypts, but when I started to root around in the Val, I couldn't believe how many plants had really good roots, and how many runners their were there. I just hadn't had any energy to do anything with them, so they were just loose in the tub for 3 months. We'll see how well they do now. Denny
