Looking for inverts

Post by cbaranyk »

In 2 months my 12 gal tank should be stable and ready to add fish and inverts. I was thinking chili rasboras, otocinculus, CPOs and CRS. Does anyone breed CPOs (dwarf orange Cajun shrimp) or high grade cherry shrimp?
I was considering crystal red shrimp but I'm not sure if the water in Eureka will be okay (pH 8.4). I have an RO unit, but don't want to get that crazy to start with.
Thank you!

Be careful. some fish are prone to eat shrimp eyes. And CRS arent cheap so watch them closely

I settled on pygmy corys, otocinculus, NeriteSnails, and chili rasboras, to go with my Bloody Mary Cherry Shrimp. Everyone is getting alone well, just need to find some chili's.
So far I have no pirate shrimp ;)

What species of pygmy cories you get? Get enough to see if they spawn?

WUW had the chili rasboras last week but I don't know if they still have any. I ordered in and bought all of the Rasbora maculatus.

Pygmaeus (?). They have 300 at WUW. I'm going to get 10 more. Unfortunately by the time I got there last week there was only one chili rasbora left.
