Is anyone interested in water lettuce? It really likes my Nano cube, and grows impressive 2 -3 inch root systems. Likely great for fry to hide in. I've been tossing it by the hand full, but thought I'd bring some to the auction if there is any interest. Let me know.

Does it thrive everywhere? I am also concerned about whether it would spread and would require a pond necessarily? Looks pretty good.

It spreads but is easy to control. It's not like duck weed that is so small and sticks to everything. Another great floating plants is Salvinia natans, but it needs less turbulence than I have in my tanks. If it gets out of control throw the small plants out. I've never had a problem keeping it alive and I've grown it in many places (MO, VA, AK, AR).

I think i have had salvinia natans in the past, sort of looks like fern right? I hadn't kept it intentionally but it thrived in a water place that we had in our previous backyard. It was super beautiful but spread, why i was asking. Good to know this other one wouldn't as much, not so much space here.

Chris. That water lettuce you gave me is great, thanks!
Very prolific, great roots for fry.
