Where do you find rare fish and plants??m

So there was a conversation going on after the auction yesterday about "I got such n such here and such n such there." Where do you get the oddballs when lfs has no luck from their suppliers?
I usually find mine on aquabid.com. I've gotten some from Ted Judy's Fishroom. I've browsed Rapp's Tangled up in cichlids site. And I've ordered from Wetspot/Cichlid Exchange. I've also lucked out at the American Cichlid Association convention.
