Rainbow eggs

Post by sumpnfishy »

I picked up some Melanotaenia duboulayi from Gary Lange this weekend. I noticed on the label he printed that it said they were large enough to lay eggs. That seemed crazy since they are maybe a third grown, but can't hurt to throw in a mop, right? I checked tonight, three days after being put in a new tank, and the mop is full of eggs! Now I just have to raise the tiny buggers!

We put a mop in with the Gertrudae we got from Gary. After seeing that yours have spawned already, we pulled the mop and have found a few eggs also. Pretty exciting!
