Description and Bio
The most beautiful aquariums are those that look most natural. Plastic and ceramic decorations just don’t do it. Rocks, driftwood, and plenty of live aquatic plants make our aquariums, and our fishes, look their best! Join us at NWAAS’s monthly meeting, where aquarium book author and long-time Aquarium Fish International magazine columnist, Mike Wickham, will teach you to create a gorgeous natural aquarium. You’ll learn how to grow an underwater jungle and the basic design rules that you should follow to make your aquarium beautiful.

• Setting up a lushly planted aquarium
• Universal rules for making a beautiful layout
• Popular aquatic plant species
Mike Wickham is the author of several aquarium books, including a couple of Complete Idiot's Guides. He also wrote for Aquarium Fish Magazine/Aquarium International for 20 years, including 10 years as the "Freshwater Q&A" columnist. Mike has been a hobbyist since 1964 and was an aquarium retailer for 25 years. He has also served on the NWAAS board in various capacities since 2007.
