New tetras

Post by sumpnfishy »

I got some new tetras in yesterday. I got them off of aquabid and the timing ended up being terrible with me being sick and the snowstorm but they arrived alive and I found the energy to get them taken care of.
They are kitty tetras, either Hyphessocbrycon heliacus or H. cf. lowae depending on the source. They are far from common but are very cool. They only had the six I won otherwise I would have gotten more, but I got the six for less than $15 including shipping and heat pack! They look GOOD! Sorry Mike, they are on a tank with oak leaves and wood. Not a plant in sight!

I took a picture of some at Petland Springfield when we the club visited there. They are nice-looking fish.

Yeah, I thought about getting some then but I think they only had two or three. These are a lot smaller than that one big one they had so they have some growing to do.
