Im thinking about keeping him if i can find out what he is. how big he will get, and if he will only do well in fast moving water

thanks! im probably just going to let him go i dont have a tank suitable for him all my tanks are heated and he would probably enjoy a faster moving colder tank, but we caught something like 30 of them today so i know where to go if i ever do want to keep one

It's actually a Central Stoneroller. They get about eight inches but I haven't seen them bigger than six.. Creek chubs actually hit about a foot. Central Stonerollers do very well in captivity but do not keep their colors well and can look pretty bland. When they are in full breeding color they are quite orange though. High current is not necessary.
