Marineland Stealth Heater Recall

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has recently ordered the recall of several models of Marineland's popular Stealth series of heaters. FAAS believes that many of these heaters may be in active use since they were manufactured between 2004 to 2001.

Hobbyists who have these heaters in use should discontinue using them immediately due to the risk of fire or laceration.

We have been discussing this issue with the stealth heaters since March of last year.

I just got off the phone with them. I was on hold for about 4 minutes then had a nice English speaking lady get me through the process for a total call time of about 7 minutes.
They mail me two replacement heaters, then I am supposed to give them a call to arrange for my 2 old heaters to be picked up. She said they were being Fedex'd to my house and should be there within the next 3 weeks. Overall, I was impressed with their customer support and the replacements are the new models, not just refurbished old ones.
