This is not your normal photographic program. You will not learn photography from the ground up. Nor will you learn to use your particular camera model. Though Mike will cover the basics of photography (where necessary), the focus of this talk is on the unique aspects of aquarium photography and the mistakes to avoid. You will learn how to get fish to pose, how to avoid reflections on the glass, the best ways to light the scene, camera settings that make a big difference, and more.
Mike Wickham is a professional fish geek and amateur computer nerd. He has authored several books on aquariums, including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Freshwater Aquariums. Mike is a also a columnist for Aquarium Fish International magazine and contributes articles and photos to various aquarium hobby and pet trade magazines. He has been an aquarium hobbyist since 1964, and spent 25 years as an aquarium retailer. Mike was also a long-time sysop on CompuServe's former Fishnet Forum.
