Check this out. If you wanna retro a fixture or get away from a 4' bulb, this might be the trick.

Re: LED lighting options
Interesting! The 4-tube (http://www.trulyled.com/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=72498) shows three different color temperatures: 6, 000 to 6, 500K, 4, 000 to 4, 500K, 3, 000 to 3, 500K. I didn't see different bulbs for them, so they must be adjustable on the bulb itself. I wonder how that affects lumen output.
Still, comparing the lumen output to a normal fluorescent puts these at only 1/2 to 1/3 the output. That's no bargain at all. If a person could get away with 1/3 the light, I think they'd be better off to turn off 2/3 of their existing bulbs!

Re: LED lighting options
Capacitor(s) for my Led tube manufacturer?
I have some Circle LED Tube installed on my boat for some accent lighting. They're powered through my stereo head unit so I can turn them on/off with the remote. Problem is when the stereo's turned up the lights dim when the bass hits. I've got a 1.2 farad cap for the amp, but would adding a small capacitor for each of the outdoor led strip lighting help? Or maybe a bigger cap for the amp? I can't add any more batteries.
