A place to look for pictures of many of us is on the club officers page: https://nwaas.com/forum/NWAAS_officers.php.
Also there are many scattered throughout the gallery: https://nwaas.com/forum/gallery2.php

Re: Lets see each other! Picture Time!
OK thanks! I went to those links but only see a pic of our board members? Is there a place where everyone posts their pics? I would like to put a name with our faces. I deleted most of the pics i posted but it didn't seem to allow me to delete actual post. I didn't see an option.

If you are on Facebook several of us have joined a Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society facebook page and you can see pictures of us there (or by following our names back to our pages).

There's not a set place for people pictures, but you can create your own photo album in our gallery. Just follow the "Gallery" link in the navbar at the top of the page, create a Bilbo album, and upload pictures there. Although I don't see it much here, some people put a picture of themselves in their avatar. Click on "User Control Panel" in the top navbar (you have to be signed in) and you'll find a place somewhere in there to upload an avatar, if you want one-- and it doesn't have to be a picture of you.
I would add that the NWAAS facebook page mentioned is an unofficial page, not set up by the club officers, nor run by NWAAS. Many of us don't have facebook accounts and have never even seen it.

Hehehe... oh yeah, the advantages. A day doesn't go buy where I don't say, "I wish someone that I barely knew 50 years ago would send me a friend request." And my life won't be complete until facebook sends me a bunch of ads because my friends clicked that they "like" the products. Oh, and I don't even want to talk about getting poked!

Poke... Poke....
Seriously, as a requirement for graduating with my PR degree, I took a New Media Technology course. Facebook can be a pain in the butt, but the privacy settings make it entirely possible to control who sees what, and what you see. I get NO email from facebook, etc. As an individual, facebook provides me with a way to chat with my friends and family, see pictures of my nephew's newborn baby, be reminded of someone's birthday, and invite family members to a graduation dinner for Nicole. A business can use facebook to get the word out about sales, introduce new products, and share customer testimony about the business. As a club using facebook, the Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society could foster interest in the hobby and gain membership. I understand why some people refuse to use facebook. History has seen it many times in the past in those believing the telephone was just a fad, horseless carriages were dangerous, refused to get a television, or more recently, shun computers and the internet.
One way they teach college students of today to determine if an organization is legitimate is to look at their facebook page. Any organization without a facebook page is viewed as behind the times, stagnant, and on their way.

And we already have an official NWAAS facebook page under construction. I set up the account myself. Michael and Terri are assigned to populate the page with data. Soon it should be made public.
