Carport Adventures

Post by dennysfishroom »

We've been trying to get a carport installed for about 3 months now, and finally got it today. We had our normal quota of adventures getting everything in place, but it's finally done. First we needed to cut in the hill to make a flat surface big enough for the carport. Naturally we ran into rock for the third time, always in the back right corner. We adjusted the size and that was okay. Then the pad we had just made started to settle, and we had to have someone come in with additional fill. Then the company wasn't going to deliver and erect it because of the driveway having a curve in it. The salesman was practically worthless and unavailable after we signed the contract, final came out and told the company it wouldn't be a problem getting the truck in our driveway. I was holding my breathe this morning until they were backed up to the pad, and started to put it together. Another successful saga completed. Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!
