Northside Aquatics

Post by jlgeorge »

I know this doesn't classify as local, but I came across this store a few months ago when I was in Little Rock. It is just north of LR in Maumelle and is worth the stop. They claim to be the largest store in Arkansas and may well be. Here is their website;

I stop now every time I'm in the area. They have a lot of things you just don't see around anymore.

I have to agree Northside is a great store with a very knowledgeable staff however they are fare from the largest. Marine World in Hot Springs http://www.marineworldhs.com/ is at least double the size and doesn't concentrate on the salty side of the hobby quite as much as Northside does and they have a huge selection of equipment both new and used. But if you want to find the largest in the Arkansas you will have travel a little further south to a hidden gem that I stumbled upon completely accidentally, Pets and Things http://www.wagnerfarm.com/tropical. Located in White Hall (couple miles north of Pine Bluff) is two full buildings of nothing but fish tanks, they say there are over 500 but I have never taken the time to check for accuracy. Well worth the trip if you ask me.

Well I know White Hall well, one of my best friends live there. Now I have another excuse to go there. Thanks for the info.
