Hope someone needs plants at next Meeting auction
These LEDs have really made my plants take off in the 120 so I'll be bringing a bunch next meeting. I'll have sunset hygro, corkscrew val, some woody crypt, and hornwort(as sold in stores).

The tank looks great. Thanks for sharing that and the plants!

Come heck or high water I want to make the next meeting and will be looking to buy plants, fish; inverts and whatever else I might think would do well in my fishrooms. Feel free to call me the night before to see what you have and what I might buy. 870-302-9108 Richard

Do you know what the name is of an aquatic plant that grows on top of the water like tiny Lilly pads? It has 2-3 tiny runners as roots.

There are lots of them. Duckweed, Azolla, Salvinia, and Amazon frogbit come to mind.Sillyscienceteacher wrote:Do you know what the name is of an aquatic plant that grows on top of the water like tiny Lilly pads? It has 2-3 tiny runners as roots.

I have Giant duckweed. I keep it in containers about 8 inches away from the flourescent lights. it spreads to cover the entire water surface in a few days time. I take out half and put it in my Guppy tanks that don't get as good of lighting so there is a constant cover for fry.
