Can you believe I've been keeping fish for over 50 years?

Post by dennysfishroom »

Hi everyone. My name is Denny and I've been keeping tropical fish for over 50 years. My main interest is in breeding fish, so if you ever come to my fish room, it won't be pretty. We just moved here on a permanent basis in January from NW Indiana where I had somewhere around 75 aquariums. I think I'm a little less here, but I may have more gallons (can't be sure - still putting the fish room together). Right now I'm working on breeding many of the more attractive Peacocks and similar fish. I've got electric blue Ahli, OB Ahli, Red Shoulder, albino Red Shoulder, Rubescens reds, albino Rubescens Reds, Ngara Flametails, Golds and OB's. I also have a few angels, longfinned bushynose, Halfmoon Bettas, electric Blue Jack Dempseys, and will be getting some fancy goldfish as soon as we close on our house so I'm not making bi-weekly trips back to Indiana. I have been involved in aquarium clubs in Madison, Wisc. and Lincoln, Nebraska, but that has been quite awhile ago. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Yeah, I'm at somewhere above 30, maybe 33. Hey, Michael, if we add ours together, we've got him beat!

Welcome to the club, Denny.

I can stop buying fish anytime I want. Seriously.
