Internet Access

I have more problems with consistent internet access. It's not an every day or even an every week thing, but it does happen. I'll turn my computer on in the morning, but when I try to get on-line, there's no connection. I try all of the tricks I've had to try when I call customer service, but nothing. When I do call customer service, it's always a problem in my system. Then after waiting some period of time, the internet magically is fine. I'm having a real problem believing that my provider just made some change on their end to correct the problem. Unfortunately, out here in the bonnies, I don't have any other options. Denny

How long have you had your current modem? When you call in, have you spoken to the internet help desk? They should be able to see how many drops you've had over the last few days or even a week.

I've probably had this modem for as long as we've lived here. My gut feeling is that they are more interested in telling me it's my problem than admitting they might have a problem. It's also their modem. I'm not sure whether they allow me to have one of my choosing. Denny

I had to swap mine out a few months ago with a store bought one and have not had any problems since. I have AT&T.
