Trout Navigation

Post by dennysfishroom »

For those of you staying up nights wondering how trout are able to return to the same place they were born, you can now get some sleep. There's an article claiming they have tested and proven that trout are able to use the earth's magnetism as a guidance system, and that enables them to return home to spawn. Denny

How could you possibly verify this??????????????????????? It isn't like you could track trout fry through their lives.

Also how could you ever find out that no 2 snowflakes are the same?????????????????????

I couldn't find the article again, and now I'm wondering if it was trout or salmon. Trout don't migrate so maybe it was salmon. I'll keep my eyes open for a link. Denny

I was wondering, didn't know Trout migrated and since all of them are introduced into Oklahoma, that made me really wonder :) Kyle

I've got to start writing down either a link or a summary when I run across something when I'm browsing. That way I may accurately remember a little more of what I post. Denny
