New house means new fish room

Post by sskruzr »

Moved to a new place a couple weeks ago. Here's a before pic of the fish room. Only 8' by 18' but enough for what I have in mind. I studded the room last weekend and this past weekend we rocked the walls and got the lights hooked up. Gonna mud and tape this week, hopefully this coming weekend it'll be ready for paint and fish.[*]

Here's the latest and greatest. This past weekend, got it all rocked except the end from where I took the pic. I have a rack of breeding groups of cories there and just waiting to get the rest of the room done. Gonna try and mud the walls tonight and tomorrow so I can paint this weekend. Also got the lights hooked up.

Made some more headway this past weekend. Got most of the walls painted and tonight got a few hundred bn plecos in their new home and got the 20br tanks with cory groups moved next to the 85g Pemco. Gotta move the 55g tomorrow night and then will be done moving tanks. Just gotta get the electricity hooked and get some organization to the madness.

Got to love those bella vista Basements. When I live there I thought of doing the same thing. Looking good.

You are fortunate. My wife has never let me turn one room of the house into a fish room, so I compensated. Every downstairs room in the house but one has multiple tanks in it.

Dining room = 5 tanks
Living Room = 5 tanks
Breakfast nook area = 3 tanks

No tanks upstairs or in the downstairs second living room, which is my youngest daughter's area. But I'm out of room for tanks so I either start placing them in the bedroom or throw my daughter out of the house and finally get my fish room.
