Breeder's Award Program Chairperson Needed!

Do you like to breed fish? The Northwest Arkansas Aquarium Society would like to restart its Breeder's Award Program (BAP). We had one running a few years ago, but like a lot of things, it fell by the wayside during Covid. We are looking for a volunteer or volunteers to restart and administer the program. Are YOU interested?

What it is:
  • The Breeder's Award Program (BAP) is a fun fish breeding program.
  • The goal is for members to breed as many species as possible.
  • Breed fish for fun, points, and recognition.
  • Certificates, plaques, or trophies may be awarded at certain levels of accomplishment. Participants could eventually earn the title of Master Breeder.
DUTIES:
  • These are volunteer positions.
  • The BAP Chairperson would get the program up an running, and administer it. Additional committee members could have duties, too.
  • The primary task would be to track breeding accomplishments. Members submit forms, detailing the successful spawns. We will create a database where the data can be entered and tracked.
  • Distribute awards. Criteria to be determined.
  • Refine existing forms and rules, which can be found here:
    https://nwaas.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=37
  • The BAP Chairperson would become part of the NWAAS Board of Directors.
If YOU would like to volunteer to run this program, contact the club president at president@nwaas.com.
