Steatocranus glaber

Post by sumpnfishy »

I discovered a spawn of this rare West African the other day. To give you an idea of how uncommon they are, Ted Judy has a fish room tour section on his website. During one of the tours he made special note of these guys because he'd never seen them before! If we had a BAP program going these would be MASSIVE!

On a related but opposite note my two adult S. tinanti both committed suicide in a power head this week.

I will be looking for another pair of those sometime down the line. Buffalo-head cichlids (as the genus is often referred ) are amazing animals and good pets.

Sadly,

I thought you had three adults. So the female and now a male. Bummer!
