Wow! A local aquarium society!

Post by mewickham »

Hello, everyone,

I've been a fish geek since 1964 and was an aquarium retailer for 25 years. I was a sysop for 10 years on the now-defunct Compuserve Fishnet Forum. I've written a few books about aquariums, including a couple of Complete Idiot's Guides. I write two monthly columns for Aquarium Fish International magazine, and articles for various aquarium trade and hobby publications.

These days, I'm down to keeping only two aquariums, (from a high in my business days of around 700). Now that I'm living in northwest Arkansas, I was surprised to see an aquarium society so close by. I've lived in metro areas that didn't even have a society. It's the first time I've lived close enough to fit a society into my schedule. So I checked it out and I'm going to join at the next meeting. Here's to meeting new friends!
