Re: November 2009 Meeting Topics
We've confirmed a speaker for the November 14th meeting. Our old friend, Mike Meyer, of the Heart of America Aquarium Society (HAAS), will be talking about those interesting African catfish of the genus Synodontis.
Mike has been an avid hobbyist for over 35 years and has kept both freshwater and saltwater fish. He has a fondness for West African cichlids, but his favorite group of fishes is the catfishes. Mike has been active in HAAS since 1995 and is the club's current membership chairman.

If you missed last night's general meeting, you missed out on a good presentation about Synodontis catfish, by Mike Meyer. Thanks, Mike! Mike covered an overview of the Synodontis family, as well as tales and photos of his personal experiences breeding two species of these fish. We had good attendence, including three new faces.

Re: November 2009 Meeting Topics
A HUGE Thanks to Mike, Rick and Randy for making the drive down for our meeting. They brought lots of fish and plants to auction off, bringing the club a bit closer to our goal of purchasing a projector. And thanks to Rick's wife for sending some delicious home baked pumpkin and banana bread. It was great seeing you guys again.
