At first I thought something was afoul in a tank. Then my wife said her water tasted nasty. The realization came - Beaver Lake is starting to turn again.
So - does this effect our tanks? (for those of us serviced by Beaver)
An NWA News report says that it's from increased organic solids being introduced into the lake. (IMO: chicken waste) This increases algae, bacteria, taste and odor problems.
The solids are described as "carbon", so maybe it's good for planted tanks?
I wonder if the increased bacteria effect the cycle in our tanks?
It's supposed to last for weeks. The tanks smell, my tea tastes terrible, and I think I can smell it in my clothes. At least it's safe to drink. I respect safe water. I'm only complaining because the increased solids are credited to man.
