Marks on tank
I have these marks on my tank, and I have tried everything to get them off! I tried water, scrubbing, vinegar, goo b gone, bleach, and these stubborn marks are still there! What are your ideas on getting them off?

Re: Marks on tank
Are they on the glass? Inside or outside the tank? I'll be interested, too. I've got several tanks with water marks on the outside glass that I would really like to get off. Someone told me salt and lemon would do the trick, but I haven't tried that yet. Would that make HCL acid? Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!

I think the marks are mineral spots, I think I will try that lemon and salt mix.

The salt and lemon mix didn't work, I think I might just get a straight edge razor thingy and try to scrape it off, or does that method only work on acrylic? How do you tell if a tank is glass or acrylic

Re: Marks on tank
I would NOT use a blade on acrylic because of the potential for scratching. It should be fine on glass. In the past I have had good luck with placing vinegar-soaked paper towels over the area and letting it set for a while, then scraping. Good luck!
