Python stuck on the sink

Post by kribkid17 »

I did a water change with my python but when I went to unscrew it from the sink, part of it was still screwed into the facuet. I'm afraid to use plyers because the only place to grip it is threaded and I don't want to strip it. What should I do?

Quite the problem but it's gotta come off.

I'd use the pliers but don't squeeze any harder than you have to, don't crush it. You can always get a metal replacement piece from Lowe's or Home Depot, that's I did in the past. Works a lot better.

I have the metal piece but it is really thin thread so I thought i might crush it but I'm going to go try.

I wrapped a wash cloth around the piece before using the pliers. That helped, too.
