Wow, that's a scare!

Post by kribkid17 »

I woke up to the sound of a fish trying to jump out of the tank this morning(lucky for me I have my food containers stiing on all the holes in the lid). Well that doesn't happen much so something had to be wrong. Well the day before I had turned up the heater 2 degrees hoping that it would help my Afrian butterfly cichlids breed. Well the tanks temp is 89f, So I unplugged the heater and stuck in an airstone. All the fish are fine so far, except for the one fish that tried jumping, he looks like he lost a scale or two on his forehead.

It's a good wake-up call for all of us. Never adjust your heater unless you can check it for accuracy for the next day or 2. Denny
If it was easy, anyone could do it!
