Hooking up the drilled 10's

Post by dennysfishroom »

I finally started to hook up the 10's I drilled last week. Every time I try to start I find I'm short a fitting, but I did get 3 of them on-line today. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to get water to the tanks. I'll be going into town tomorrow, so will pick up the fittings to complete the other tanks. Then I'll have to decide what to put into the tanks. Denny

You should have bid on all those fittings we had at the auction. ;)

Getting down as far Springdale? I put the bottom on your last ten Sunday. I'll test here in a few minutes

I'll pick the 10 up sometime. I'm not in a big hurry. The fittings I need aren't the same as the ones I sold. The 10's I'm adding are sort of being squirreled away wherever I can fit them in. Doesn't really lend itself to pictures. The tanks were already there, too, before I put them on the systems. It doesn't look much different. Just easier to take care of. Denny

It appears to be holding. I'll just leave it for a few days before draining then.

Just got 3 more of the 10's on line. That's 4 total with 3 more to go by this weekend and the last whenever I pick up my other 10 from Corey. All I have left with the 3 is to plumb the discharge and silicone around the fittings. Now I won't feel so guilty because I've got all these 10 gallon tanks needing water changes and looking like tea (very strong tea at that). Denny

There was a lot of water on the floor today. Couldn't find a problem for awhile, but finally noticed one of the 10's had a crack in the bottom. It looks like I'm going to have to figure out something else to trade to Corey for another new bottom. Not sure whether I may have put too much pressure on when I was hooking up the fittings, or what. At least it's no big deal. It could have been worse. Denny

Must have been that gorilla pressure. When you coming to town? Bring it along and you can have the other one back. It's ready. I put a little thicker piece in it.

Probably in town Tuesday for errands and taking the money to the police for Shop with a Cop. Should we go out to lunch? Denny
