Bit of a problem

Post by kribkid17 »

We are going out of town for thanksgiving and usally that's not a problem but now I have tons of fry that need to be fed. How should I feed the fry? The people that usally feed my fish are going out of town too. Is 3 days too long for fry to go without food?

Perhaps use an electronic fish feeder filled with powdered fry food. I haven't looked lately, but Walmart used to sell the Daily-Double type (they feed every twelve hours) for about $10.

when you leaving? If you don't mind separating the babies from the parents, I could take 'em home feed them while you're gone.

Thanks Corey but I don't want to separate the parents and the fry. That feeder sounds good.

I've had those feeders in the past. Didn't quite work like "I" wanted. There's a lot of humidity just above the tank, so it always clogged with moist food. But it may work for just a few days.
