December 2010 NWAAS Meeting
Christmas Party!
Food • Games • Prizes • Fish Talk • Fun

Saturday, December 11, 2010, 6:30 PM
There's something fishy going on at the December meeting. It's the NWAAS Christmas party! Our December meeting is a bit different because it's party time. There will be food, fun, and (of course) fish talk. Join us for a good time and celebration of an excellent year of growth at NWAAS.

Here's what we've got lined up:

Fishy Trivia Game
Every good party has party games. So come in a gaming mood! We are going to divide up into teams and play Fishy Trivia. Corey (sskruzr) will act as host, master of ceremonies, grand inquisitor, moderator, referee, or whatever you want to call him. Fish Head? Yes, we are going to have some fishy fun! There will be easy questions and hard ones, so everyone on each team will have fun. No doubt there will be plenty of ribbing, laughing, and dare I say jolliness to go along with the game play. There will be prizes for those on the winning team.

American Cichlid Association Slide Show
Nothing goes with a hot party like cool fishes. Denny (dennysfishroom) will give us a short slide show of cool fishes he saw at this year's American Cichlid Association convention. There will also be a few slides recapping this year's NWAAS events.

Food
What would a party be without food? We had a pretty good spread last year and you can expect the same this year. However, we need your help here. We ask all members to bring along some food. See the message following this one for details.

People
There will be plenty of time to socialize with other club members. You can yack about fish, families, or whatever is on your mind. We've got a great group and lots of new members. So it will be a good chance to get to know everyone better.

We hope to see you there!

I'll get the pop. Say 5 flavors, Coke, pepsi, diet Dr. pepper, root beer, and orange? If you prefer something else, let me know.

I'll also bring the cream puffs.

Corey, if you could put a caffeine-free flavor in that mix, I'd appreciate it.

Corey, actually, looking again, I think root beer is caffeine free and will work. If not, maybe a Sprite or 7-up or something.

I would bring something but it is still in debate if I'll be able to make the meeting. I'll bring something if I can.

Edit: Is anyone alergic to anything?

Ok, well, this sucks. The stars have once again aligned to destroy my chances at making a meeting.
1) Nicole is still not doing great after having her wisdom teeth extracted.
2) Mattie is in two separate parades tomorrow.
3) The van has a tire with a slow leak that we have not successfully repaired.
4) I have three finals tomorrow.
5) We have a 40-60% chance of snow most of the day tomorrow. I checked, and you Southern folks just seem to be expecting rain.

So, enjoy the party, everyone, and I will see you next year!

Okay, Sharon went nuts again this year. We've also got the plates, cups, napkins, utensils covered. There are still some items on the list, if anyone wants to sign up. It would be nice to have a fruit or veggie tray.

Yes, I'm also preparing to upload a few photos of this year's events. I'll drop you a note when finishes, so that you can add them to your slide show if you want.
