I think I now know why I didn't really end up with very many fish from my pond last year. I was walking by it this morning, and noticed a snake in the water. He darted away in the water before I could get a good look at it, but left the impression of being patterned with grey and rust/beige. I don't remember any bulging head, so I don't think it was a copperhead, but it seems like whenever anyone sees a snake around here it just has to be a copperhead. Needless to say, we won't be telling Gail about that one or the others I've seen while walking around the house. Denny
