Saturday, September 15th

8:00am FOTAS Board Meeting
9:00am Laif Demason “What’s new in the hobby?”
10:30am Ad Konings “Collecting in Lake Tanganyika”
12:00pm Kids Tank Decorating Contest
2:00pm Greg Steeves “Victorian Cichlids & CARES”
3:30pm Jim Powers “The Botiidae and Hillstream Loaches”
5:00pm Awards Ceremony – Spencer Jack “Confessions of a Cichlaholic”

Sunday, September 16th

10:00am Registration begins
11:00am Auction begins

Convention cost:
Total package, includes Day 1 and 2, and auction $45.00
Day 1 only, includes pizza party $25.00
Day 2 only, includes speakers and auction $20.00

FOTAS Show entries must be pre-registered by 9/10/2012. Contact Page Ullman at ullman8@charter.net

The CARES Show consists of single species displays which may or may not include live fish. Displays may be in the form of tri-fold displays, aquariums with live fish, posters, or videos. The species being depicted must be reserved in advance. Contact Greg Steeves at gasteeves@gmail.com. Criteria judged include presentation, educational value, and extra points for a CARES species.

All plants will be sold at the silent auction on Sunday. Seller split is 75% to seller, items over $30, 80% to seller. The seller will not receive a split for items selling for $1.00.

Wow, they have Laif Demason! Not fair since I can't go out of town that weekend! :x :( :cry:

I have other plans that weekend, too. If anyone from the club is planning to attend, please let me know. If you are willing, I'd like to send a couple of books along with you to have Ad Konings autograph for me.

I'll be there and so will Gerald Griffin so if you can get the books to either one of us, we can get it handled... of course you should REALLY try and make it. This FOTAS will be at least double if not triple the size of the one we hosted in OKC.... Kyle

It was way more than triple, there were 130 people at the auction based on bidder numbers that started at 1.

The auction lasted about 13 hours.

It was fun.
