Walking With the Dinosaurs in Tulsa

Post by mewickham »

Walking With the Dinosaurs: The Arena Spectacular is playing in Tulsa November 11-12th at BOK Center.

This is not a movie, but giant, mechanical/robotic dinosaurs. We've seen the show twice in other cities, and it is awesome. The dinosaurs are life size, walk around the arena, look REAL, and move realistically. (And "life size," the creators say, means maximum life size. If the dinosaur grew to 70-feet, they made them 70 feet!) It's the closest thing possible to ever seeing a bunch of live dinosaurs and you'll see it right up close. I'll say it again. The show is awesome. The dinosaurs are so big that there's no such thing as a bad seat-- but the seats up front will have the 70-foot Brachiosaurus reaching out over your head. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this event. Check out the website. They have videos and more:

If I can talk Sharon into it, I'd like to go see it again. These are Wednesday-Thursday play dates, though. The middle of the week might be tough to do.
